The Acquafredda beach is located along the Tyrrhenian coast of Basilicata, in the municipality of Maratea. It is one of the most popular and busiest beaches in the area, due to its natural beauty and secluded location.
The beach is made up of pebbles and rocks, with a crystalline and transparent sea, ideal for swimming and snorkelling. The beach is surrounded by high cliffs and typical Mediterranean scrub, which create a wild and uncontaminated atmosphere.
On the beach there are several services, such as a bar, a restaurant and a parking lot. Furthermore, it is possible to rent umbrellas and sunbeds to better enjoy the day at the beach.
The Acquafredda beach is easily accessible by car, via the SS18. Alternatively, it is possible to reach it with the shuttle bus that leaves from the center of Maratea.
