Fumone is a beautiful village located in the Lazio region, in the province of Frosinone. It is famous for its impressive medieval castle, which dominates the surrounding hillside and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley below.

The castle of Fumone is one of the main places to visit in this village. Built in the 12th century, it was enlarged and remodeled over the following centuries, taking on its current form between the 15th and 17th centuries. Inside there are many rooms decorated with frescoes and stuccos, as well as a chapel with a crypt. From the castle it is also possible to access the Tower of San Tommaso, which offers another spectacular view of the valley. This castle is also famous for having been a place of imprisonment for Pope Celestine V after his resignation from the pontificate.
