Sharon Stone is the female protagonist of The New Pope, the series that the Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentino is shooting in great secrecy in Abruzzo (read here the article Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentino chooses Abruzzo region in Italy for his new movie). The set moved in Abruzzo, in the Hermitage of Santo Spirito a Majella in the municipality of Roccamorice. The scenes are shot under the vaults of the ancient convent where Pietro da Morrone was hermit, known as Celestino V, the Pope of the great Rejection.
