The Rocca di Radicofani is an imposing medieval fortress located on the summit of Monte Amiata, in the municipality of Radicofani, in the province of Siena, Tuscany, Italy. It is recommended to visit the Rocca early in the morning or in the evening to avoid the heat and the crowds.
Autumn, from September to November, is another ideal period to visit the Rocca di Radicofani. The temperatures are pleasant and the surrounding nature offers warm and welcoming colours, making the view even more suggestive.
Finally, winter, from December to February, can be a less crowded period but with colder temperatures. However, the valley view can be especially spectacular with snow covering the surrounding landscape.
