In this article we will tell you how to get around the Amalfi Coast, between the towns of Amalfi and Positano. Evaluate the different hypotheses carefully and choose the most suitable one for your way of travelling.

Here are 4 ways to move between Amalfi and Positano

  • Bus: The SITA bus line operates regular services between Amalfi and Positano and vice versa. Buses leave from the Amalfi bus station and stop at various points along the road to Positano. The journey takes about 40-60 minutes and the cost of the ticket depends on the distance travelled.
  • Ferry: It is possible to reach Positano by sea with the ferry from Amalfi. Ferries depart from the port of Amalfi and stop at several points along the coast, including Positano. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes and the cost of the ticket depends on the distance travelled.
  • Water Taxi: Another option is to take a water taxi from the port of Amalfi to Positano. This option is more expensive than other means of transport, but it can be a very pleasant experience, especially if you want to enjoy the scenery during the journey.
  • Car or scooter hire: If you prefer independence and flexibility, you can hire a car or scooter in Amalfi and drive along the coastal road to Positano. Care is advised when driving, as the road is very steep and winding.
