The Mandranello Natural Oasis is a protected natural area located in the Campania region, in the province of Salerno, in the Sele Valley.

The Mandranello Oasis was established in 1997 to protect and conserve the flora and fauna of the area. It is characterized by a great variety of natural habitats, including woods, meadows, streams and lakes.

The oasis area covers approximately 200 hectares and is home to numerous animal and plant species. You can find some migratory birds such as bee-eaters, kingfishers, buzzards and peregrine falcons, as well as animals such as foxes, badgers, hares and wild boars.

The oasis offers many hiking trails, allowing visitors to explore the natural beauty of the area. Among these you can walk the Sentiero degli Ulivi, the Sentiero dei Prati and the Sentiero del Lago. Furthermore, the Mandranello Oasis also offers activities such as birdwatching, trekking and sport fishing in the lake of the Valle delle Ferriere.

The Mandranello Oasis is open all year round, but the opening hours may vary according to the season. However, we advise you to check the opening hours before visiting the Oasis.

When to visit the Mandranello Oasis?

The Oasis is open all year round, but the best season to visit depends on your personal preferences.

In general, spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) are the ideal seasons to visit the Mandranello Oasis, as temperatures are mild and the climate is generally pleasant. During these months, you can enjoy the beauty of nature in bloom and migratory birds passing through the area.

However, if you prefer to avoid the crowds and have a good resistance to summer temperatures, you can also consider visiting during the summer months (June-August). In any case, it is important to bring comfortable clothing and footwear, and enough water to stay hydrated during the excursions.

Furthermore, I advise you to check the weather conditions before visiting the Mandranello Oasis, as some activities may be limited or canceled in case of rain or bad weather.
