In the municipality of Pietracamela you can practice numerous activities such as hiking, mountaineering, ski mountaineering and climbing on the major peaks of the Gran Sasso such as Corno Grande, Corno Piccolo and Pizzo d’Intermesoli.

Prati di Tivo, the mountains in summer and winter
Prati di Tivo is a mountain tourist resort located in Abruzzo, in the province of Teramo, in the territory of the municipality of Pietracamela, at the foot of the Gran Sasso d’Italia. Prati di Tivo falls within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga national park.
During the winter season, the ski resort of Prati di Tivo is popular with tourists thanks to its ski slopes and ski facilities which can be accessed from Piazzale Amorocchi.
During the summer season, Prati di Tivo allows you to practice trekking and mountaineering (ascents to Corno Piccolo, eastern and central peaks of Corno Grande) with excursions of varying degrees of difficulty; from difficult rock climbing to simple walks in the beech woods. (Discover more)
