In this short article, we are happy to recommend an itinerary that develops in the province of L’Aquila, in the area of the Gran Sasso National Park. You can also do it in just one day and it takes place entirely in Abruzzo. The stages can be visited both in the order followed in this article and in the reverse order.
During this trip you will be able to admire a small and pretty waterfall that can be easily reached with a small lake, a sanctuary of great historical and spiritual importance known for having been the “refuge” of St. John Paul II and a plateau, of glacial and karst-alluvial origin, among the largest in Italy, called the “Little Tibet”.
