In general, spring and autumn are the best times because the weather is milder and the temperatures are not too high. In these months, the vegetation is luxuriant and the natural light is ideal for admiring the works of art inside the cathedral.

Summer can be a bit hot to visit the cathedral, especially in the warmer months, however the number of tourists tends to be less intense than in spring and autumn, so you may have more time to admire the works and the architectural details of the cathedral.

In winter the temperatures could be lower and there is the possibility of rain, however the cathedral can still be visited and less crowded than in the warmer seasons, it could be a good opportunity to visit it in peace.

In general, the best time to visit depends on your preferences and needs, so it is important to consider the climate, natural light and the number of tourists before planning a visit to the Orvieto Cathedral.
