Like every year, the Ducal Palace of Mantua offers events and initiatives for the month of May. Below are some of these, hoping they will meet your pleasure and, why not, invite you to a visit to this splendid Lombard site.
Guided tours to discover the beauty of this place
Discover the wonders of Mantua with guided tours, available every Saturday and Sunday of the month. An experience to explore the exhibition “Giovan Battista Scultori. Print carver and excellent sculptor” at the suggestive Palazzina della Rustica, and immerse yourself in the new visit route which includes a fascinating passage in the Cavallerizza corridor.
Departures are scheduled at 10.10am, 11.10am, 3.10pm and 4.10pm. Secure your place by booking at infopoint on 0376 352100 (open from Tuesday to Sunday from 8.30am to 1.30pm). Groups are limited to a maximum of 20 people, and entry costs start from just €5.
Other events and initiatives at the Ducal Palace of Mantua
Don’t miss Friday 17 May, when there will be the celebration of Isabella d’Este‘s 550th birthday with an exclusive event reserved for holders of the Mecenate Card.
On May 24th, get ready for the first show of the theater review “Il Ducale in scena”. At 8.00 pm there will be a welcome cocktail, followed at 8.30 pm by the staging of “Il Delitto a Palazzo Ducale”, organized by the Accademia Campogalliani of Mantua, in the evocative Sala dei Fiumi.

On May 25th, join for the inauguration of the exhibition “On the borders of Etruria. The town of Forcello di Bagnolo San Vito” at the National Archaeological Museum of Mantua.
Finally, from May 29th to June 2nd, don’t miss the “TRAME SONORE” International Chamber Music Festival. A unique experience for classical music lovers in an evocative setting.
