Pertusillo Lake is an artificial lake located near the town of Spinoso, in the Italian region of Basilicata, precisely in the province of Potenza.

The lake was created in 1960 by the construction of a dam on the Agri River. It has an area of about 10 square kilometers and a maximum depth of 45 metres. Its waters are used for irrigation, hydroelectric power generation and for recreational purposes such as fishing, boating and swimming.

What is the context in which Lake Pertusillo is located?

The area around the lake is characterized by beautiful wilderness and a wide range of outdoor activities. There are several beaches and access points to the lake, where canoes, pedal boats and motor boats can be hired.

Furthermore, the area around the lake is full of tourist attractions, including the Archaeological Park of Grumentum and the Pollino National Park, the largest national park in Italy, where you can go hiking and admire the local fauna and flora.

In summary, Lake Pertusillo is an ideal destination for those who want to spend a day outdoors, immerse themselves in nature and practice recreational activities. More information can be found on the official website.
