The Pontone Beech is an imposing tree with an estimated age of 750 years which is found in a young beech forest which is part of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.
Its dimensions are truly monumental, the trunk with a circumference of 8 and a half meters and a height of about 25 meters. This tree is thought to be the result of multiple trees growing together and then fused into one several centuries ago.
The tree is currently in excellent health and it will certainly be wonderful to come and visit it and be amazed by its elegance and magnificence.
How to admire the beech of Pontone?
Admiring the Pontone Beech is simple, just follow the path coded with H5 which leads from the village of Villetta Barrea to the village of Scanno. The monumental tree is located in Pontone.
