From the Eternal City to Poggio Mirteto, among the ancient villages of the Lazio countryside. A stop in Orvieto to fall in love with the Cathedral and the Pozzo di San Patrizio and get back on the track towards Chiusi and Chianciano. From here you will enter the historic railway line of Asciano, to proceed towards the imaginative threshold of the Val d’Orcia, a green land rich in vineyards.
The journey continues towards Siena, the city of the famous Palio. Must tastings in the valleys of Montalcino, Monte Amiata and Monte Antico, where its famous castle stands. Leaving the hinterland, the railway itinerary continues on the Via Tirrenica, passing through Grosseto, in the heart of the Maremma.
The journey in ancient Etruria continues towards Talamone, a town on the sea, an ancient sighting point of the enemy fleets, and then passes through Tarquinia until arriving at platform 1 of the Roma San Pietro station, with the Cupolone framing the whole trip.
